Upholsterer

Direct response Employment Services  are delighted to be supporting our client in Melksham in the recruitment of a skilled upholster to join our clients team on a permanent basis.

You will ideally have previous experience working within furniture manufacturer and an upholster and have the technical skills and ability to to create upholstered furniture to a high standard within a fast paced setting.

Key Duties:

• Assemble furniture to the correct method set by Design and Development and to the correct Quality Standard Trained and documented by the company.
• Work within the guidelines of the companies Health and Safety Policy.
• Ensure all areas of Health and Safety are adhered to, and correct use of Eye and Ear protection, safety footwear at all times. (other forms of PPE are available such as dust masks/gloves if required).
• Adhere to department housekeeping, ensuring all areas and work stations are kept tidy, safe and in full working order.
  Ensure all tools and equipment are kept tidy, safe and in full working order.
• Ensure correct handling of product, as not to cause damage to product or oneself.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

You will have proven experience within a similar role and have previously worked within a factory setting.  You will be able to follow design specifications accurately and have good attention to detail.
